SUMMARY

Problem & Solution

Finding the perfect roommate is a time-consuming process, as everyone has unique preferences, and there's no reliable way to predict how long it will take to find a match.

Introduce a smart matching system that streamlines the process, helping users quickly and efficiently find their ideal roommate, saving both time and effort.

PROCESS HIGHLIGHTS

User Journey

Before developing the features, I created a user journey to identify pain points and needs that real users might experience. This process revealed the most essential elements for the platform and ensured that critical aspects, like privacy protection, were thoroughly considered.

PROCESS HIGHLIGHTS

Experience Principles

Safety & Security

Ensure personal information is protected and verify users to create a secure environment.

Time Efficiency

Streamline the process to help users find compatible roommates quickly and effortlessly.

Easy Communication

Facilitate fast and seamless interactions between users for better connections.

Fill out the information to start

Users start by registering and completing their profile, including the "Ideal Roommate" section. This information helps the platform find the best roommate matches nearby.

Find your ideal roommate

Once users complete their "Ideal Roommate" section, the homepage displays the best matches. Users can update their preferences anytime in the account settings. For more specific searches, hashtags can be used to connect with others who share similar interests.

Find “Middle”

This system helps multiple users find apartments located at a midpoint between their respective locations. By entering the address of their workplace or school, users can identify a central area that balances everyone's needs. The platform then provides curated apartment listings within this middle area, making it easier to find a home that works for all.

Start conversation

After finding a good match, users can send a friend request. Once accepted, they can start chatting and view each other’s profiles. If the match feels right, users can add them to their favorites for quicker and easier communication.
